Are you seeing clients in-person?
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I currently accept BlueCross BlueShield and State Health Plan as well as Lyra Health.
I charge a flat fee for my services for those not covered under these plans, but I can also provide you with a superbill to take to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance company to see if they reimburse for counseling services.
Are there forms for me to fill out?
I'm completely paperless, so you can actually complete all of the necessary paperwork online through the client portal. Once we confirm our appointment, the link to those forms will be sent to your email. This helps us both save time and we won't have to review your background info during our session.
How do I schedule an appointment or pay you?
I want your experience to be as easy and convenient as possible. You can schedule appointments online through my client portal. You can also easily upload documents, pay your balance, or set up automatic bill pay. Click to see the client portal now.
How can I or my teen contact you? Are my messages kept private?
You can email me any time at firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text at 864-351-1823. All of these methods of communication have been made HIPAA compliant, which means they are a secure way of communicating your health information. I use Hushmail to email my clients, which requires you to create a login to view or send encrypted emails. You can also download the free app, Spruce Health, on your phone to message, text, or call my secure line in between appointments.
I'm not a teen or a parent, can I still see you for counseling?
Of course! We can talk during your consultation about your needs and how I can help.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients?
Absolutely. I am an LGBTQ+ ally, which means you are welcome here and this is a safe, supportive space for you. If you are seeking help with personal struggles, relationships or family tension, let me help with that. Read more about it here.
How does virtual counseling work?
Virtual counseling, or Telehealth, allows us to connect anywhere with secure and convenient appointments that save you time and hassle. There's no need to deal with traffic when you can schedule and attend your appointments directly from a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. You and I will still meet face-to-face online, and it will be private and confidential. All of your sessions don't need to be limited to one or the other, you can choose to meet with me online any time it's more convenient.
What should I expect?
After scheduling your phone consultation through the client portal, I will call you at your scheduled time to get more information from you about what you'd like to accomplish from therapy. After scheduling your first session, I will send you a link to fill out the necessary consent forms online before we meet so that we can make the most of our time together.
