ABOUT

SHELBY

Passionate About Empowering

I have 10 years of experience working with teens, adults and families. I enjoy working with this age group because of the immense amount of potential for growth and change.

If you're a parent, know that change is possible! Most young people just need to connect with the right person to be able to work through all of the confusing and stressful stuff that they're currently struggling with at home or school. The therapeutic relationship is key. Have you taken your teen to therapy before, and nothing worked? They hated it? It's because they weren't able to make that crucial connection with their counselor. A trusting and safe relationship is what makes them want to work on their goals to make lasting change, and it's often the missing key to successful therapy.

What else makes me different? This is an LGBTQ+ affirmative place for anyone seeking counseling about navigating their gender identity or sexuality. This may be the only place you've found where you can be safe to share about the real you without judgement or fear of how it will affect others. I can help you gain clarity and sort through the confusion.
