Yoga for
self-esteem

This is an in-person group workshop for up to 6 female-identifying teen girls aged 14-18. This group will 

incorporate yoga and discussion to address ways to improve self-esteem and body-confidence. 

What to expect

  • Trauma-informed yoga poses appropriate for all levels

  • Group workshop led by Shelby Turner, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and CYP-500 (Certified Yoga Practitioner)

  • Small group size with 6 or less participants

  • Judgement-free environment 

What to bring:

  • Yoga mat

  • Bolster or pillow

  • Journal or notebook to write in

  • Blanket (optional)

  • Water bottle

  • Wear any clothes you can sit and stretch in

  • Self-care practices and restorative yoga

  • Mindfulness and breathing exercises

  • Skills for setting boundaries, body acceptance, and celebrating diversity

  • Ways to cope with unrealistic beauty standards and negative self-talk
