Increasing strength, balance and flexibility are only a few of the benefits yoga can offer. It can be instrumental in gaining mental clarity, relieving tension and pain, and calming the nervous system. As a Certified Yoga Practitioner, I've begun incorporating yoga in therapy sessions with those clients who request it, whether this looks like mindfulness breathing techniques or poses to try at home.

"But I'm not flexible!" Me neither!

Yoga is not just about flexibility, it's about the mind and body connection. You will not see me doing headstands or twisting like a pretzel. In fact, you can gain many of the same benefits while doing yoga sitting in a chair as you can on a mat.
